Try again

Ah, yes, if you read the numbers right it helps so.......

This is better, these are chairs not people or dolls houses.

I've also done some more sewing, Mark's quilt top is now together. Two crazy quilt blocks are done, I do love doing these. I made a crazy quilt over two years ago and promised myself another one so this is now four blocks done, just pieced that is not embellished. I'll try for some more pictures tomorrow. In the meantime a couple more pictures of a hanging that I did from Kumiko Sudo's designs.

Pictures and progress

Some more done on chairs, AND some pictures, don't really know how to get them from camera to computer yet but some progress.

Here they are: Oh no they aren't. Wrong pictures. This is my husband and grandaughter and
dollshouse in progress. Don't know how that happened, will try again later or tomorrow.

Upholstery Day

Progress on green chair, front filets sewn on and front of seat sewn down, next bit pinned on. Took some photdographs today and will figure out how to get them into computer tomorrow. Went to London Quilters last night and heard Effie Galletley speak and show her landscape quilts, a multi talented and very pleasant woman. Still on piece work with the alphabet quilt. If the chair pictures work then loads more will follow.

Seem to have got a bit done today. Filets pinned on front of striped chair, preparation complete on Carmen's quilt for Mark. One of our fellow members of Round the Block, Carmen, sadly died in August last year and she had started a quilt for her son Mark, so we as a group are finishing it for him and her. Last two borders on the double sided log cabin and a bit more on the the curtains for this room. to hide the shelves. I sound a bit more positive too, just noticed. Good.

Whoops

Planned to visit a Dolls House Fair tomorrow, until I discovered it was today, maybe my brain isn't properly in gear. There is another one in Thame next Saturday, so maybe? I did paint the bedroom in the doll's house today, in what I think is the right colour. I did some more on the screens we started last week and Tres Bad, ordered some books from Amazon, cheer myself up shopping, but Hey, whatever works.
I went to the library yesterday and borrowed the most fabulous book 'Above the World' stunning satelite images from above earth. The most gorgeous pictures which I think would translate into textile beautifully.
I started this blog in order to participate in Sharon Boggins monthly challenge, but by the time I'd set this up it was full, but I intend to join in a bit anyway. Also I saw some of the results of the journal quilt challenge from last year on other blogs and in the flesh, Margaret Cooter's which were lovely. So I've decided to combine the two ideas and challenge myself. I found some lovely fabrics in my stash today and I have an idea of the design. I'm hoping to start that next Thursday. I think that's all for now.

Still Struggling

As in the title, still finding life a bit difficult. On the computer front, I've been trying so very hard to find out how to use google reader, as yet to no avail, but I will get there. Also to take and post more pictures, this entails borrowing a camera, which is better than the one I have, so, soon, very soon, more will be happening here.
Maybe this is partly how I'm coping, much activitym but not much to show for it, yet.
On the textile front just more of the same, progress on both chairs, double sided log cabin. It was a Round the Block meeting today, delightful company and chat, some of it about sewing and some not.
I haven't told anyone about this blog yet, feel it's so dull I can't imagine anyone would want to read it, but maybe will take courage soon.
